ESPN Eye-Test
ESPN / Uefa Champions League
ESPN is known for delivering the best high-definition broadcasts. But are your eyes ready to fully experience the action?
Surprisingly, 57% of people believe they don’t have any eye problems, even though 80% of vision disorders can be prevented with early diagnosis. Alarmingly, only 27.8% of individuals visit their ophthalmologist annually as recommended.
To address this issue and encourage men to prioritize their eye health, we launched a special initiative tailored for UEFA Champions League fans.
The ESPN Eye Test bus, staffed with an ophthalmologist and equipped with the necessary tools, hit the streets to offer vision tests to sports enthusiasts. Instead of squinting to decipher traditional rows of letters and numbers, participants had the fun challenge of identifying football club crests and famous players.
Men who were diagnosed with glaucoma or cataracts during their visit were promptly referred for comprehensive treatment, ensuring they don’t miss a moment of the action on the field.
